My first Christmas in Melbourne was very casual, had just recently moved into our apartment and no dining table yet or even a sofa.It was also non traditional as we decided to make lamb since there were only 2 of us.I splurged on some Stollen from Phillipa's which was divine and totally worth it and enjoyed a few slices with a cup of tea on Christmas morning for breakfast.

Hey I wish you a (very belated!) happy Christmas and New Year. Your Christmas dinner looks really lovely, and I hope you're enjoying your time in Melbourne ....
All the best for a fabulous year in 2009 :-)
Thanks, having a good time here so far.
Hi - I hope that you will continue to blog. I know that it's tough finding the time and energy...but I enjoyed your posts - so I hope I see more.
I spent a Christmas in Sydney back in 1998 and stayed until mid January. I love Australia - what a fabulous country! I had a very low key dinner - fish on the barbie. It was the first time I ever saw the entire fish (eyes and all) on a plate. It was delicious. And having warm weather was a treat - it was great to get away from snow and cold in New York.
